A few weeks before you leave, a box shows up at your door — printed itinerary, confirmations, destination-specific travel goodies, my notes on what to actually do when you get there, and a few extras I pick based on where you're going. It's the kind of thing that makes the trip feel real before you've even packed.

Step 1: Book a Call
Grab a time on my calendar directly — no forms, no back and forth. Just pick a time that works and we'll go from there.

Step 2: Discovery Call & Planning
We'll talk through where you want to go, who's coming, and what kind of experience you're after. When you're ready to move forward, you'll sign your agreement and take care of the planning fee — that's where we officially begin, and I start building your trip.

Step 3: Proposal Review
I'll put together a custom proposal based on everything we discussed — hotels, experiences, routing, pacing — plus a video walk-through so you can see it all laid out. From there you get two rounds of revisions to fine-tune it. Your feedback here matters; the faster we align, the faster I can lock in the good stuff.

Step 4: Confirm Your Itinerary
Once you approve the proposal, you'll receive your deposit invoice. Timing on deposits varies depending on the trip and the partners involved — I'll walk you through all of it.

Step 5: The Fun Part
From here, you just show up. My team and I are with you the whole way — app access to your itinerary, real support while you're actually there, and a follow-up when you're back. I don't book you and disappear. That's the whole point of me.

Straight answer, nothing hidden. Here's exactly how the planning fee works, what it covers, and the fine print — all of it.
How the fee works: When we're ready to begin, I authorize a $500 hold on your card and get your agreement signed — that's where we officially start and I begin building your trip. Here's the part that matters:
When you book your trip, you're only charged $250 per household.
If you're a returning client and you book, the fee is waived completely.
If we build your trip and you decide not to move forward, the $500 applies — it covers the work already done.
In other words: the fee rewards booking, and it just makes sure I'm not building full trips for people who were never really going to go.

How I actually get paid: The fee isn't my income — I earn commission from the hotels and partners when you book, at no extra cost to you. The fee just gets the work started.
The fine print, plainly:
Per household = one set of travelers under one decision-maker. Grandma & Grandpa, you & your kids, your brother & his friend traveling together = three households, three fees. A household can book one room or three — still one fee. (Traveling as one group, all doing the same trip together? That's quoted as one build — just ask.)
Two revisions covers refining the trip we're building. Deciding you want a completely different trip — new destination, total change of direction — is a fresh start and a new fee, since it's essentially a new build.
Booking under 60 days out? Still doable, but it means jumping the line, so a rush fee applies. Under 30 days, reach out and I'll be honest about whether we can pull it off well.
Add-ons if you want them: flights booked for you, and a printed travel packet mailed to your door — each a small separate fee.
Cancelling a booked trip: a cancellation admin fee applies for unwinding your reservations, and your suppliers' cancellation terms (which vary) will also apply. I'll always tell you what those are before you book.
No surprises, no fine print you find out about later. That's the whole deal.

Fair question, and I'd rather be upfront than surprise you later. I do 4-star, boutique, central, clean — real hotels in the right neighborhoods, guides who know their city, everything handled. For the kind of trips I build, most of my European travel (Italy, France, the UK, river cruises) runs around $500–600 per person, per night, all-in. Safaris run higher — around $1,000+ per person per night — because that's luxury lodges, private guides, and park fees bundled together. Beach and island trips start around $400 per person per night. Multiply by your nights and your travelers and you've got a ballpark. Flights are the one thing quoted separately.

Not really — because it depends entirely on what the trip is. A long weekend with a hotel and a car service is a totally different number than two weeks by train across Europe, and I do both. So instead of throwing out a minimum, I'd point you to my average trip spend to get a feel for where your trip might land. If those numbers feel about right for the kind of experience you're picturing, we're in good shape. If they feel way off, that's worth knowing before we get on a call — and I'll always be straight with you about it.

No — and here's why. My partners have confidential contracts with hotels and local operators, the same way a restaurant doesn't itemize the cost of every ingredient on your plate. What I can tell you is that I do the due diligence on pricing, I work with preferred suppliers I have long-term relationships with, and my job is to make sure every dollar is going somewhere that makes your trip better.

What you're really getting isn't a discount — it's someone who knows which hotel is actually worth the price, which tour operator is legitimate, and where spending more changes the trip versus where it doesn't matter. Sometimes that also comes with better rates or perks through my preferred partners; sometimes it's a wash on price. Either way, the real value is knowing your money's going to the right places — and that's harder to put a number on, but it's the part that makes or breaks a trip.

I book through vetted property managers and trusted suppliers — which means the place exists as advertised, the photos are accurate, and there's a real person to call if something goes wrong. I can almost always find a boutique or apartment-style property that gives you the local feel without the risk.
